NOTICE OF 2026 BUDGET HEARING
VALLEY COTTAGE FIRE DISTRICT
IN THE TOWN OF CLARKSTOWN, ROCKLAND COUNTY
STATE OF NEW YORK
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE the Board of Fire Commissioners for the Valley Cottage Fire District will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, at 7:30 p.m., at the Firehouse located at 20 Lake Road, Valley Cottage, New York, for the purpose of discussing the contents of the Fire District’s proposed 2027 budget.
PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that, at such hearing, any person may appear and be heard in favor of or against the proposed budget as compiled, or for or against any item or items contained therein. To have written comments heard, such written comments must be submitted in advance. Any persons requiring special accommodations to attend the meeting and participate should notify the District Secretary at least three (3) business days prior to the date and time of the public hearing.
PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that a copy of the proposed budget is available for inspection by any interested person at [1] the office of the Town Clerk for the Town of Clarkstown during normal business hours and [2] from Amanda Hyland, District Secretary, at 20 Lake Road, Valley Cottage, New York 10989 or via email at amanda.hyland@valleycottagefd.org.

PUBLIC NOTICE:
Please be advised that the monthly meetings of the Valley Cottage Board of Fire Commissioners will be held on the 4th Tuesday of each month at 7:30 PM as follows: Jan. 27, Feb. 24, Mar. 24, Apr. 28, May 26, June 23, July 28, Aug. 25, Sept. 22, Oct. 27, Nov. 24, and Dec. 22 at 7:30 PM be designated as the monthly meeting dates. The location of the meeting will be at the Valley Cottage Fire Station, Lake Rd., Valley Cottage, NY.
In addition, the 2026 budget workshop meeting will take place on Tuesday, August 11, 2026 at 7:30 PM and the Budget Public Hearing will be held on Tuesday, October 20, 2026 (the 3rd Tuesday in Oct.) at 7:30 PM. The location of the meeting will be at the Valley Cottage Fire Station, Lake Rd., Valley Cottage, NY.
